English lyrics: My Eyes Loved you My eyes now love the nights since the day they saw you oh my moon I dream of the day I shall meet you, the pictures in my head take me so far away My eyes loved you, but you still don’t live in my heart, don’t think of leaving me, it would be a pity I really do miss you, I know my loves is perfect for you, but my heart is still too young to fall in love with you. I so miss seeing you, to see the longing you have for me, you try to touch my hand, but I just turn away My eyes loved you, but you still don’t live in my heart, don’t think of leaving me, it would be a pity I like when you ask me to Love you, I get upset from you but you still you get closer, and your eyes tell me words which I enjoy listening to My eyes loved you, but you still don’t live in my heart, don’t think of leaving me, it would be a pity |

Aline Lahoud (born 2 March 1981) is a Lebanese singer, and the daughter of well-known Lebanese diva the late Salwa Katrib. Aline honed her natural talent by studying singing and dramatic art between 1997 and 1999. By 2002, she had graduated from university with a BA in Communication Arts, majoring in Screenplay and Directing Studies. In recent years, she has supplemented her burgeoning singing career by acting in plays, directing short films, and in 2003 moved on to work as assistant director on a full length film, Mes Cousines et Moi. In 2004 she represented Lebanon at the Mediterranean song contest Megahit which was held in Turkey, where she won the Fidof international award. Returning to Lebanon Aline was nominated by the Murex D’or jury (the Arab World

Grammy) to receive the title of the best new talent of 2004. At a time when the idea of Lebanon finally taking up its right to enter the Eurovision Song Contest was being seriously floated, Aline left herself ideally placed to be one of the beneficiaries by winning the international prize at the Megahit festival in Turkey, in collaboration with prolific song-writer Jad Rahbani. The Lebanese selectors quickly looked to the same combination to conjure up some of the same magic on the Eurovision stage in Kiev. Reflecting Lebanon's long-standing place in the international francophone orbit, the lyrics of the country's proposed first Eurovision entry were in French, a language in which Aline is fluent. The song was entitled “Quand tout s'enfuit”, and as a debut entry would have begun its quest for victory in the semi-final on 19 May, from which only ten entries will progress to join the pre-qualified countries in the grand final on 21 May. The late decision to withdraw was taken after the Lebanese broadcasters conceded to the European Broadcasting Union that they could not guarantee they would uphold the fairness of the event by transmitting it without selective interruption, an implicit reference to the requirement of screening the performance of Shiri Maymon, the representative of Israel. That didn’t stop Aline of performing her Song. She eventually got an invitation to be the Lebanese participant to the International Francophone song contest held in France, where Aline and her song won the first prize and she got the title of the best Francophone Singer of 2005. In early 2006 Aline released her first French album (11 h et quart). In summer 2006 Aline along with famous Lebanese singer (Assi ElHilani) were supposed to take the main leading roles as actors in the Musical “the village Opera” which was to debut at the 2006 summer Baalbek festival which was later cancelled due to the Lebanon/Israel war 2006. In 2007 besides singing Aline was one of the lead actors in Lebanese drama “The Broken Bird”. Aline was adopted by Yalla Fan music productions where they are working on her New Arabic language album! Habook Ayouni is the first single to be released due to the wonderful cooperation between Aline and Yalla Fan.
